International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and its Applications ICMSA 2024
Atul Sachdeva Sr. Journalist - New Delhi 18 October 2024 ,The Department of Mathematics, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi hosted the International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and its Applications (ICMSA 2024) during October 15–17, 2024. On the first day of the conference, Inauguration Ceremony started with Shabad recitation to invoke divine blessings. The Ceremony was graced by the chief guest Prof. Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi, and Guests of Honour Prof. Eberhard Malkowsky from State University of Novi Pazar, Serbia and Prof. Yasunori Kimura from Toho University, Japan. Padma Bhushan S. Tarlochan Singh Ji, Chairman, Governing Body welcomed the dignitaries and motivated the delegates. Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh and Vice-Principal Prof. Harbans Singh greeted the guests.
All 3 days of the conference began with 2 plenary talks followed by a series of invited talks by eminent mathematicians from organisations such as DRDO, ISI, North-Eastern Hill University, VIT-Bhopal, Jamia Millia Islamia University, and many others in addition to University of Delhi. On each day after plenary and invited talks, papers were presented by research scholars and faculty from various organisations from across the country including NIT Sikkim, SRM University Sonepat, Pondicherry University, Rajasthan Technical University, Netaji Subas University of Technology, Delhi, DRDO, and many more. Dedicated batches were made for paper presentations by under-/post-graduate students, so as to promote research endeavors amongst young scientists.
Under the able leadership of senior members of Department of Mathematics including Prof. Satish Verma, Dr. Virendra Kumar Mehra, Dr. Sunderjeet Kaur Bhatia, Dr. Jasvinder Bhalla and others, the conference concluded with the valedictory session having the chief guest Prof. Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Controller of Examinations, University of Delhi. The conference report was read by Dr. Ruchi Kaur, Convener, ICMSA 2024. A photo frame of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was gifted to Prof. Tuteja as a token of gratitude. After certificate distribution to the paper presenters, the conference ended with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Co-Convener, ICMSA 2024.
