Pothala Prasad Naidu, National President, Jyotiba Phule Association thanked the Modi government for conducting caste census in the country

 New Delhi, 30 April 2025 In the meeting of the Union Cabinet held on Wednesday, the Modi government has decided to conduct caste census in the country. This was being demanded for a long time by the opposition parties and Mahatma Jyotiba Rao All India OBC Association President Pothala Prasad Naidu. Naidu thanked the Modi government while talking to the media. Naidu said that today the Modi government has announced that they will add a caste column in the census report. This is a historic step taken by the Modi government after the 1931 census report.

From 1871 to 1931 we had a separate caste column in the census report, after the Second World War and the independence of India, the upper caste people suspected that the large population of OBCs across the country could create political unrest, due to which they removed the caste column in the census report for a higher position in the political group. Now to achieve this success, Shri Pothala Prasad Naidu, President of Mahatma Jyotiba Rao All India OBC Association made a lot of efforts and put in a lot of effort for this caste census.
